Here is a number grid that your child could use at home. We have been using this to add and subtract numbers that cannot be easily counted our fingers. Students have learned to first find the largest number on the chart, then use the smaller number to count the number of places to find the answer.
Listening practice is especially important for March 8′s spelling test, so here is an audio file of Ms. Yokotake pronouncing each word. Have your child listen to the entire recording several times without writing anything at first, then have her/him listen and write. It is best to stop the recording after each word for 20-30 seconds to allow your child time to write.
